Cinnaholic: The Solution to Downtown Crown’s Sweet Tooth Craving

There is a new bakery coming to town. Can you smell the fresh scent of freshly made cinnamon rolls in the air? Ahh. I’m talking about Cinnaholic, which is opening a location soon in Downtown Crown at 230 Crown Park Ave. Although the exact date is unconfirmed, the talk of the town is that it will open sometime in November. As stated on their website, “[Cinnaholic’s] mission is to solve everyone’s dessert cravings… We believe in using the highest quality ingredients. All our products are scratch-made and fresh-baked, and are 100% vegan, dairy & lactose-free, egg-free and cholesterol-free.”

Ever since Cinnaholic founders Florian and Shannon Radke introduced their idea on Shark Tank (a TV show in which bidding entrepreneurs present their ideas to a panel of judges — or “sharks” — to try and get money invested in their company), the unique vegan bakery has expanded to about 135 locations across the U.S. and Canada; their successful pitch has culminated in their success as they grow with more and more locations. Gaithersburg is just the latest city to be treated to a Cinnaholic location.

Specifically, items on their menu include their famous brand-making create-your-own cinnamon roll in which customers can choose from twenty unique frosting flavors: almond, banana cream, coffee, lemon, maple, orange, strawberry and vanilla, just to name a few. Furthermore, customers can choose from other bakery items such as brownies made from scratch, soft and delicious chocolate chip cookies, bite-sized baby buns (served in quantities of three, six or 12), chocolate chip cookie dough and Cinnacakes (available in small, medium or large and up to 5 custom toppings).

Amy, who was visiting the Downtown Crown area was “very excited to hear about the opening of Cinnaholic” and added that “[they’ve] always wanted to try their food… [their] friend in Baltimore loves it!” Marketa, also visiting the Downtown Crown area had “never even heard of Cinnaholic” and upon hearing about their vegan dessert options, expressed how they were “extremely excited” to hear about its opening.

All in all, the addition of Cinnaholic to the Downtown Crown area should compensate for the lack of diverse dessert options in the area and settle the case of the sweet tooth that we all have. Local Gaithersburg residents have something to look forward to this fall with the opening of Cinnaholic.
